Disney Cruise Line increased its recommended gratuity rates in January 2025. The standard gratuity is now $16 per person, per day, up from $14.50. For guests in Concierge-level staterooms and suites, the rate has increased to $27.25 per person, per day, up from $23.50.

These gratuities are distributed among dining room servers, assistant servers, head servers, and stateroom hosts. Concierge guests’ gratuities also cover the Concierge Lounge team.

An 18% gratuity is automatically added to bar, beverage, wine, deck service, and spa purchases.

Guests who prepaid gratuities before the January increase will be charged at the previous rate. Those who have not prepaid will see the updated charges automatically added to their onboard accounts. Gratuities are suggested amounts, but guests can change them at Guest Services.

Cruise gratuities play a key role in compensating the hardworking crew members who provide service throughout the cruise. Many of these positions rely on gratuities as part of their earnings, making them an important part of the overall experience.

The new rates bring Disney Cruise Line in line with other major cruise lines. Carnival Cruise Line’s recommended gratuity is $16 per person, per day, while Royal Caribbean’s is $18.50 and Norwegian Cruise Line’s is $20.
